I have learnt that…
I have learnt that the maturity which comes with experience and wielding responsibilities increases the tensile strength of your emotions and your capacity to absorb stress and most importantly, deal with bullshit on a daily basis.
That when my eyes and lips don’t say the same thing I’m definitely lying.
That looks do matter and at the same time an old T-shirt and ragged shorts can make the person you really care about look like a million bucks.
That the heart sees and knows everything. The gut is highly over-rated.
That sympathy, kindness and patience come with an expiry date.
That innocence can linger around in your eyes and smile long after you think it has left you.
That you’re at peace when you accept yourself – warts and all…with a smile and a shrug.
That very few people really deserve a place in your life.
